Born on a hot foggy night on Wellington Harbour's Shelly Bay, in a building that has since burnt to the ground, Heatstroke has always been a song with a warpath. Swirling out around Johnny's ominous one-string riff, Jane's scorching lyrics were fueled by anger at Johnny, who for once tried - and caught on!
 
Mark Hamill performs a masterclass in expressive drumming, alongside Steve Tremewan's powerhouse bassline, while Spike pours his soul into every scorching lick. Heatstroke is a beast, brooding, dark, maybe feral, with a lifting chorus and massive groove.
